Our intimate co-work space is located in a heritage-listed building in old Midland and includes beautiful plants, original brickwork and pressed metal ceilings.

Our aim has always been to bring people that wouldn't necessarily be in the same room...together. Our workstations are located inside Number Fifty, a dynamic and inspiring space and home to JPorter Clothing and Dreamhunter.

We have 4 dedicated workstations to choose from, as well as a small lounge area and sitting area amongst our mini indoor garden.

At the moment we are available 3 days per week, however, this may extend to longer hour as demand increases.

We want to be clear, this space is not always a 'quiet' space...for that we recommend a library!

We play music, practical jokes and have a love for a good conversation. We have people coming and going from the space, so it would suit someone that thrives in a buzzing environment (we do have quiet times too...and headphones are encouraged if you have a deadline).

Please note that we do give preference to our Subscription Members for all bookings.
All bookings must be done online, and we cannot accept walk-ins at this stage.

We recommend booking with as much notice as possible.

Please ensure you book your days in advance.
If you cannot attend a day, please let us know so that someone else might be able to book for that day.

What is co-working? . . .

A co-working space is an open plan office/hang-out where different businesses, individuals and smaller teams hire desks or areas on a weekly, monthly or daily basis.

Our co-working space includes things like wifi, printing, coffee etc (all the inclusions are detailed below!)

Can I use Number Fifty/Dreamhunter as my business address?

Our MEMBERS can use our office as their business address for post and delivery purposes. We are here Monday - Saturday and check our PO Box every work day, however if you have an urgent or important delivery we request that you let us know and be on hand to meet your delivery partner or sign at the post office.

Casual/hot desk style bookings are permitted to use our mailing address at a charge of $40 per month (minimum of 3 months)

Are you pet friendly?

We do love pets and all animals, however our workplace is not suitable for pets. Sometimes pets come to visit with our retail customers, however they are not permitted in the building on a regular basis.

How productive can I really be? Do people actually get work done?

Ultimately...this comes down to YOU and your work style. If you need quiet time to be productive, then this space might not be suited to you! Our space is buzzing most of the time - though we would not call it 'loud'. The feedback so far has been that people are productive here because we have a created a space that is made for 'work'. The people that come here are motivated and purposeful and here to GET IT DONE.

We have systems in place to minimise the noise and chatter (like instant messaging) and a simple and non confrontational way of letting people know that you are busy or to avoid interrupting you.

We recommend bringing a pair of headphones along with you (soon we hope to have noise cancelling headphones available to use too) to keep you focussed if you need it!

How does the cleaning work?

Simple...you are responsible for your own mess. Do your dishes, empty your bin each day and do not leave smelly things in the fridge or kitchen. At this office the cleaning is taken care of by the Dreamhunter team (not a cleaner), so be respectful and chip in just like you would at home!

Can I bring my children?

We love kids, however this space is not suitable for children. Occasionally children may visit the building with customers when they shop or collect their JPorter Clothing orders - however children are not permitted for our work-station bookings.

What type of membership/booking options are there?

We offer two types of booking:

1. CASUAL BOOKINGS - you can book up to 12 hours before your designated work station time and stay for either a half day or full day. Half day bookings are from 8 am or 12:30pm (if you require time in between these times you will need to book the full day out).

2. MEMBERSHIPS - you can organise a permanent desk/membership for up to 3 days per week. This is recommended for those that are really committed to focused work at the same time each week. You can choose the day that suits you best, and your desk is ALL YOURS to use for that time slot. At the moment we only have 6 Memberships Available.

Please note that Number Fifty MEMBERS have preference to bookings each week.

How to phone calls and meetings work? . . .

We work on a system of respect here at Number Fifty. If you have a phone-call that is going to be loud, animated or long - please take yourself out of the main room and outside to stretch your legs!

You may bring a guest for up to one hour. If your meeting is going to exceed 1 hour your guest will be required to book a desk. We do not recommend hosting private or confidential meetings at Number Fifty. Please be respectful of noise levels at all times.

Do you have a kitchen/fridge/coffee machine?

Yes, yes and yes. We have a small kitchenette with a sink, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge. You are welcome to use all of the facilities. Please be aware that our kitchen space will be getting a makeover next year, so at the moment it is not looking it's very best.

We have a pretty rad espresso machine...we will show you how to use it when you come in! We also have a 'tea bar' so you can choose your brew!

How does the printing work?

We have a wirelessly shared printer (Konica Minolta Biz Hub) and commercial guillotine. Included in your daily allocation is: 10 black and white pages (A4 back and front count as one page). Colour and additional black and white pages can be purchased at mates rates!

If you need flyers, handouts, stickers, booklets or anything special please let us know and we can accommodate that for you via Dreamhunter.
