I feel like so many small businesses just ‘start’. . .

and I get it, we start small businesses because of a need, or a want, or a passion - not on a whim, but certainly on a dream.
We just ‘start’ because we have to start somewhere - you have to jump at some point. We wear a million hats because we have to, and we keep going on our merry (and often a little jumbled) way because we have to - we have to keep MOVING FORWARD, pushing and hustling in order to make it work - even though we might feel a little lost and unsure.

Well, what if I was to challenge you to take a STEP BACK.

I want to challenge you to take a step back in your business so that you can move forward with better purpose and momentum - so that you can explore your brand in a structured way and make decisions for the long term (and the short term).

All of the most successful businesses in the world have at least one thing in common - and that is a strong BRAND.
They have strong messaging, clear purpose and they are clever at evoking emotion. This is not just reserved for BIG business though, these are things that we as small businesses can do really well, and potentially even better!

I have worked with hundreds of small businesses on discovering who they are as brands on a one-on-one basis, and the time has come to share the things I have learnt over the years (both through experience and research) in a workshop format.

How do you connect with your customers? One of my favourite explanations of brand experience is from a guy named Chris -
A brand experience is about designing a sensory experience that brings a person into a lasting and meaningful relationship with a brand.’ and this is exactly what we are going to talk through and explore. How you can create an experience for your customers that is ‘on brand’ and memorable.

Competition and pricing

What type of value does your brand bring to others, and how much will they pay for this? I want to challenge your view on ‘profit and price matching’ and instead focus on ways you can add value (without decreasing price) - and create experiences for your customers.

Visual Presence

We will explore the importance of your logo, colours, packaging and photography - and how you can make this unique to you! We will also take a brief look at colour psychology.

Setting and discussing business/brand goals

We will explore what you want to achieve with your branding, and work out your brand objectives - some examples - brand awareness, emotional connection, sharing points of difference, brand loyalty, engagement and market share.

The workshop will be part seminar/part activity and action based. The group will be small (limited to 12-15 people per session) and intimate.
